Neumann question
« on: July 22, 2005, 01:26:24 AM »
hi there!

here is my question :)

to run and tape with a set of ak40 capsules what hardware do i need altogether ?

is this a possible and working setup:

sony d100 - sonosax m2 - active cables - ak40's ?

or do i need something else that goes in between the cables and the capsules ?

might be a dumb question - i know - but maybe u can help me anyways  ?! would be great!

thanx so much!

you could run ak40>active cables>lemosax(which is a sax sxm2 w/ lemo connections so bodies arent needed) but i find that option limited!

so id snag those mk100 bodies marc has for sale and get the ak40's+sax and be done w/ it, run that d100 and thats a nice setup there!
Schoeps MK 4V's & MK 41V's & 250|0 KCY's ->
Naiant +60v & +48v Low Noise PFA's ->
DarkTrain Right Angle Stubby XLR's ->

the LC3s would also have to be modded by neumann and have lemo connectors added in order to run with the lemo sax

Is that true for the older LC3 that came with connectors?

I haven't seen the lemo-sax so I don't know which connector it has.

The set I purchased came with regular lc3 and Lemo LC3's. So the answer is yes the stereo set use to come with both sets of actives or at least mine did.
