preamps for $200-300 (stereo/portible) for a friend

Hey tapers!

Someone asked me about preamps in this range for a mini disk rig. They have AKG SE300B and the AKG power supply to a mini disk. I told him he should get a preamp and he asked me this. Whats out there in this range. The guy is in Canada.

ad-20 will run you used around 200
i had one and loved it
if you wanted to get rid of the akg power supply then a digimod ua5 would be under 300 and also power the mics--thus having 1 box instead of 2

Thanks. I'll reccomend him a Zefiro box. I didn't know how much those ran untill now. +t's all around (now that I can again)
