Car Amp Help
« on: November 26, 2005, 12:34:39 PM »
got some new infinity kappas in my car and i'm looking to pick up an amp to help power them. i really don't know too much about good brands or how much wattage I need so please forgive the stupid questions.

fronts = 6.5 2-way
            RMS is 75watts
            peak is 225 watts

rear = 6x9 3-way
         RMS is 110 watts
         peak is 330 watts

i have heard that phoenix gold makes some pretty good amps and think i've even seen them mentioned here, any other recommended brands. trying to keep my price under 400 for the amp.

as far as the output of the amp, should i try to match the amp's RMS with what my speakers require or go over/under  or should I try to match up the peak power?

any help is greatly appreciated
