AT 8449 Shockmounts

just went to my local music shop to get a pair of these mounts for my Oktava MK319's...said they would run $99 per mount...know of any place i can get these cheaper?

crazy price on them- they come free with the LD AT mics... you know you really should try those without a shockmount first- you may find you dont need them.  the diaphragm on most LD mics is internally shockmounted.

I know....seems like 100 bucks a pop is a little bit much.  I've run them 3 or 4 times without shockmounts and a) it looks awkward to me and b) I don't like how the stand connector is attached to the mic itself...the connection is really loose and the mic tends to move around during the show.  anywho...know of any place or anyone who has a pair that would be willing to part with?

sorry i know we just talked but i had another thought- there is a ring beneath that mount- is that tightened all the way?  that might be part of your looseness.

yeah...i tightened both rings as much as humanly possible without causing damage to the mics...still "jiggly".  I'm gonna go with the Sabrasoms for right now...thanks again
