Video with a 35mm camera
« on: April 30, 2007, 04:37:06 PM »
With a 1 GB card I can record 10 minutes of video with the Canon 35 mm I have. I was thinking instead of buying a smaller hard driver recorder video camera I could just bring in the 35 mm camera (which I think would be or might be more venue friendly). I would also bring in (4) 4GB cards (and some batteries).

Anybody ever tried to get a whole show using one of these?

The first thing I'm concerned about is the audio from the onboard mic.

Anyone want to comment???

It will look like rubbish and the audio (especially if your recording a rock show) will be a distorted mess. I personally wouldn't bother.

Recorded by Russell with his Canon A700 consumer digital camera (not camcorder). Audio was added in post. http://www.69model.com/video.php

Thanks for the replies.

Video was cool (from an overall watching a music video view). But probably not good enough for what I will want(from an overall quality of recording view).

I'll probably get a camcorder for the show.
