Video recording question
« on: May 02, 2007, 02:21:47 PM »
A friend of mine is giving a speech he would like to video tape. As he is to be alone at the conference, are there any video cameras that will track the "target" (i.e. the speaker in this case) so it follows him around the stage as he talks?

I know that in the theater light spotlights can track specific actors automatically....

Thanks!

At work we use a Polycom videoconferencing system that will follow a person who is speaking, but a PA system in a large room would probably throw this off.
I'm not aware of any affordable system that could do this with a camcorder.
