Movo windscreens (outdoor)

(1/7) > >>

spyder9:
These windscreens have been out for a while.

3cm covers most mics we use, whether full bodies or actives.
The pictures below are the 3cm models.

I wanted to hear your thoughts on:

1) Quality of construction
2) Effectiveness
3) Comparison to competitors (DPA & Shure)

I want to buy a pair, but I'm not sure which one of the two to buy.
I will be using them with AKG C460b/ck22.

The price is fantastic.  WS50  $13.95/ea, WST50 $15.95/ea

Thanks!

I've been using the WS50 all year; think mine are the 6 cm version on my AT4041's. Love 'em. Had them in some pretty stiff breezes and have yet to hear noise. Construction seems solid. Not noticed any loss of high end. And the price is certainly right.

lsd2525:
If you're running full bodies, I'm not sure why you would use the 3cm vs. the 6cm?

fanofjam:
They're totally worth the price.  I've got the bottom type and they're great.  I haven't owned them but I've heard the fur style shed hairs a little bit.

Can you upload a picture of your 4041's?  The WS50 is definitely 3cm, not 6cm.

I'm running full bodies.  I certainly don't want to buy the wrong size.   I appreciate any help.
