Okay, let me put it this way....Does anybody think that I will do damage to my DAT recorder using the 90 meter tapes once to record and once to playback for a transfer?

I have done searches on this subject and have not been able to come across any numbers as to the amount of usage to damage ratio. I am talking at the most 72 hours of usage with 12 90 meter tapes.

Thanks, yes I am paranoid.

I wouldnt worry personally....since yer just recording and then transferring, id think youll be fine..ive been using both for MANY years...... 8) ;)

All I use are Sony 90M in my D100 (which I bought used 3 years ago) and my PCM-R300 and both are still running great.  I have no doubt that there is a risk to do it this way, but no problems here yet...
