Title: USB Portable Fuel Cells Available this Year!
Post by: Mr. Bull on January 07, 2009, 01:11:13 PM
"Lilliputian Systems, a Wilmington, Mass., firm founded by former Massachusetts Institute of Technology researchers, plans to introduce a portable fuel cell late next year (2009) for any device that can be charged via a USB port.

Each teaspoon of the fuel can provide 20 times the run time of a battery of the same size

The charging system would likely sell for $100 to $150, with refill cartridges retailing for $1 to $3"

These are nice.  I am still concerned about the fuel requirements as it typically is very flammable (i.e. probably won't be able to take on an airplane, etc)

Wonder how hot they get.  Butane or alcohol fueled I'd guess.
