would this work, or be a POS.


XLRf taking a balanced signal.... >  RCA (taking ground and pin 2) a seperate wire jumped off of pin 2  and ground (of source XLR...or off of the ending RCA, not sure) running back out and ending in either a 3.5mm ?  Sort of like the way the PS2 jumps that cable out of a single XLR.
would having a hot, loose connection like RCAs or a stereo mini introduce noise to the cable?
