I don't have a ps2 yet, (currently looking to buy one if someone has one to sell) and was wondering what the usual battery life for a 9v in the mic would be.
-
Alkalines ~100 hours, per the user manual that comes with them.

i left batteries in mine for many shows in a row and didnt see any difference in how they sounded, and i would believe what the manual says, something like ~125 hrs, but i would change them after 5 shows or so, just to be safe, you would save more money using internal power on the c1000's b/c the ps/2 you have to change after every show, it being only about ~6hrs of runtime, at least with my at4051a's

9v are something I am always afraid that is going to bite me sometime when they run out. The battery box I have runs so long on a 9v, I feel like I am going to forget to change it.

Thanks for the info, looks like I'll stick with the internal 9volts for right now.

When I had them I was pretty anal at changing them after every show. I have a 3 year old so using them was never a real issue. I'd recycle them as well. The trick is taking them out after each show, this will extend the 9v life for sure. Also if tossing 9v into your bag make sure they don't come in contact with metal. Especially something that connects bothpins. This will cause heat and could cause them to explode if contact is made for to long. I once left a 9v in my pocket at a show and there was change in there as well and I reached into my pocket and got a nice little burn.

This is how we kept Schwilly warm at an In Flames show!

I thought that was for his own personal satisfaction ;)
