Anyone have any good recs for these?  Budget is $250 - 500 a piece.  Thanks.

Solidstate amps don't need those   ;D

Seriously:
Placement is important - don't let backwaves slap the tube envelopes.
Brass or delrin cones are a good first step.
Sorbothane pads are helpful  (Dr. Scholl's gel insoles for your gear)

Heavy and "dead" is good and dissimilar materials in a sandwich is good for decoupling.

My tube gear rests on an isolation sandwich of 1/8 in luan + Styroboard + foam rubber + 1/8 in luan.
It comes up at about 2 inches thick and is covered with an "Aunt Greta Doiley".
The old table scarf looks appropriate with a tube amp.

luan

What is that?  Made me think "Luanne Platter".

What about a sandbox?  would that be better/same/worse than using that sort of isolation sandwich?

I thought of that, but I wondered if there may be some transmission through the sidewalls holding in the sand.
This is pretty serious decoupling and much lighter - sound can't penetrate the varying denisties of material well.
The styro was from a scrap of house siding backer-board, the high density, closed-cell foam rubber was in a shipping carton at work, and the luann(sp?) was $4 for a 4x4 at Casa Depot. All glued up with silicone sealant.(RTV)

I'm sure there are plenty of other ways to decouple.
Don't assume that you need to spend 10% of the cost of the amp to isolate it.
