Anyone Running Co2 On 12V?
« on: January 18, 2004, 08:23:12 PM »
A couple of people on the Oade board mentioned that this was OK, based on the regulator in the Unit.  Ran into a guy on summer tour that was doing the same.  Just curious if anyone here was doing it on a regular basis.

Tech Support dweeb that answered the phone @ MAudio put me on hold to ask someone else, came back and said; "Oh my, that would burn it up".  I think he's full of it.  Made a split cable on my EC-90's 12V D-10 Cable and left it plugged in for an hour.  Seems OK.

9V NIMH's only seem to be good for about 1.25 Hours.  Radio Shack Enercell Plus runs for 3 hours.  Off an EC-90 SLA - my V3 & D-10 run about 4 hours (actually still have 2 lights left after 4 hours), and a 300ma draw (@9V) for the Co2 "should be" negligable.

Any thoughts or experience?
