Title: RCA > 1/4 Plug Question
Post by: backwhereubelong on January 13, 2016, 09:01:17 PM
Will I experience any loss of signal or degradation by going from RCA (out of cassette deck) into a mini-mixer with 1/4" jacks?  I need a "clean" signal.  Is this advisable or no?

No problemo with the connection.  You'll want to set the input sensitivity or 'input gain trim' on the mixer appropriately for the signal level out of the cassette deck for good gain-staging.  Similar to how you would set the input gain differently on a recorder to accommodate a preamp line-level input rather than a mic-level input.

As usual, you always have the answer.  Maybe you should just post your phone number and we text you our questions!  LOL.  Seriously, thanks for the info.
