Title: Mic Repair?: Nevaton MCE400
Post by: MarkE on March 21, 2018, 11:38:24 AM
So I've had a pair of Nevaton MCE400's laying around for a few years. One of the mics has a low rumble on it. Sent back to Russia via Red Square Audio and returned not repaired (don't ask). But I would love to resurrect these since they sound so good. Anyone know who may be able to help? I searched and found that the wire has a tendency to break at the capsule, but hell if I know.. Any help would be appreciated, or if someone has a single they would sell as well.. Thanks again,
MarkE

Did you go through Lonya at Red Square Audio?  I dealt with him before and he was helpful, when Dirk (Purple Dog) was selling Nevaton mics and active here on TS.

Was it Nevaton that failed to repair this problem when the mics went back to Russia?  If so that is disconcerting.  I have a pair of MCE400's too and I'd be interested in finding out if you come up with someone that can address any cable problems that may arise with those mics.  Good luck!

Not sure, but good luck. I love mine and now that I know they might be hard to repair I will take extra good care of them.
