Finally!
« on: January 04, 2004, 08:48:45 AM »
Well after a year of poor placement I was finally able to convince my wife to change the room set-up. This allowed me to optimize my speaker location & get my Tylers to do all they can. It was a marked improvement in image quality. They have always sounded tonally correct but imaging was not possible with the previous room lay out. The only problem is now I want to sell the Tylers so I can get even BIGGER speakers in the room ;D

No, they are actually the external crossovers that Ty uses for some of his monitors. It is an additional $500.00 upgrade on his speakers & I really can't figure out why unless you were going to bi-amp. Quite frankly they are the one thing my wife really hates about the speaker b/c they add an additional cable run. I have a set of MIT shot-guns that plug into the x-over from the amp & then there is an additional set of cables that plug into the speakers from the x-over. She is having difficulty keeping up with my great sound at all costs mind set lately ;)

My wife is fully aware of the sweet spot, as a matter of fact it is the long running joke between her  & our other non-adiophile friends. She feels Nick & I are absolutely demented in our audio passions. She enjoys shows but would rather read or watch TV than sit in the zone with us :)
