My videos are HD 1920x1080 60P (59 Frames/Second) - Max original camera recording clip is 10:40 and averages 2GB in
size. I have been matching my seperate audio to my video song by song clip by clip and now I want to save each clip with
the new audio, I have test rendered a few of the clips in various formats and the file size is three or four times the size of the original? Is this because of the new audio?

How should I render this in vegas Video Pro 13 64bit for best results for sharing on Torrent sites?
How should I render it for sharing on YouTube? What are the optimal settings?

Render only the audio for example as AC3 or wav. Then remux the video and the rendered audio with TSMuxer or MKVmerge.

The best choice I have found and use for all videos is in .mp4 format which in Vegas is internet hd 1080p then at the bottom set the average bit rate around 7-8,000,000 and then the max to like 10,000,000 you can go even lower for things like youtube, maybe even down to an average of 3,000,000 and selecting the two pass option can help keep the file size good and retaining quality.

Hmmm,im sorry Philzone but i dont agree with that render setting 7 or 8 is way too low for a master HD file most camcorders record Avchd at 17 to 24 mbps so going lower for you tube is ok but not for archiving or distribution.Seems similar to archiving your 24 bit audio files to mp3.

I use Vegas 13 and follow the recommendations here:

The Vegas-specific videos there are good, but there isn't one for version 13 yet.  The Vegas 11 guidelines still work.

On my older version of Vegas if you go to project > properties, there is an option to "match media settings" - if you click this you can then select your original video and match the format exactly.

This would presumably leave you with compressed audio, so if this is not acceptable you could then go to the audio properties tab and change that to the desired format and be confident that any change in filesize is the result of the audio settings.
