R-44 Battery Question
« on: October 11, 2016, 11:48:37 AM »
Wow, been a while since I posted on the TS! Trying to get back in the taping groove a bit. Did some searching already, but could not find anything too 'new'. Any suggestions on a battery for the R-44? Any new developments in this area? My old DVD batteries are shot. Seen a few options in that area which could work. If a different battery route is suggested, a cable suggestion to accompany said battery would be great too.

Thanks!

Harrison :)

have Ted make you a battery cable and your good to go. I have used this for the past month with no issue and have yet to see the battery meter drop.

That thing looks awesome! Thanks! Any insights on the cable? Anything special I need to know? Are you talking about tgakidis, by chance? Like I said, it's been a while since I've been on here :P

yes, Ted Gak can make you a cable.  Nothing special just a standard power cable that has the polarity to work the R44. Very similar to what you used with the DVD battery.

This motivated me to buy another one and have Ted make me a cable for my 2nd R44. The DVD batteries are great but this thing fits in the bag so well and last forever.

Awesome! Thanks again! Going to hit up Ted to see how long it would take for the cable. Need it by the 28th...

Just wanted to say thanks again for the help on this! Battery ordered (will be here Friday). Cable ordered as well and should be here next week at some point. Looking forward to not having to worry about a battery die on me and corrupt my files :P

Welcome Harrison. It will do you will. No more worries about dead batts is a good thing.

Like I said you motivated me to purchase another battery and cable to go with my 2nd R44. Now I won't need to worry about power for a while to come.
