Has anyone every built a project using parts from MiniDSP?  If not, any smart folks have an opinion based on what you see?  It looks like one could built all sorts of gadgets with various analog & digi in/out, et al...

I don't have any direct experience with this product. But, I did build a stereo amplifier from a similar concept. It was an $11 chip amp.  The chip amp has proven to be a fantastic sounding amp.  I like it enough that my drastically more expensive Plinius amp has been turned off for over 6 months now, and maybe even 9 months.

Good feedback, Jon, thank you.  This $35 device is pretty interesting.  If I am reading it correctly, it provides optical and coax S/PDIF over USB to a computer.  Could it make for a decent method for transferring DATs->PC?  I guess if the bits all got to the destination untouched?...

Sure, but don't you already have some type of audio interface?

Yeah, an RME Fireface UFX.  But, there was a time that I wished for something like this. Back in the Zoltrix Nightingale sound card days...

It also might be good for folks wanting to have digi in on a phone or raspberry pi maybe?
