On-Stage On A Tiny Stage Questions
« on: July 31, 2003, 02:06:18 PM »
So I'm taping a local blues group throughout the 11-day run of our WI State Fair coming up starting this Saturday is their first show.  They will be set up on a very small stage on the patio of a restaurant at the fair park.  They have a drummer, lead guitarist and harmonica player/lead singer.   If memory serves, the stage will be like 8' across and 6' deep.  I've never done onstage but I was thinking of trying it out.  All of the sound including vocals will be coming from onstage amps, I believe.  So would I get good results running ORTF about 3' high (thats the lowest my stand goes) at the center of the stage?  I'll be running a SBD tape as backup and may even run my 4061s split about 24" at the center of the stage as well.   Anything else I should be considering?
