Need help with JB3 optical solder job.
« on: May 11, 2007, 07:45:09 AM »
So my optical input popped loose a couple months ago.  Took the jb3 apart, got a coworker to help me with the soldering and had it working for a couple days until I started to notice cracks and pops in the recordings.  Since then it has come completely loose again and I just don't have to tools or feel confident about re soldering it my self.   If anyone on TS has the experience and time to re solder a jb3 jack let me know.  thanks!!

I have been in search of a replacement for a month now, keep missing jb3 threads in the yard sale and out bid on ebay... there is a serious drought of jb3s right now it seems.  If anyone can help me out with a spare i'd be grateful.

search TS.com for optical input and digikey or something like that.

I listed the part number for the input a few months back.  the peice is like a buck 25 or something like that.  very cheap.

i'll see if i can find it.
I actually work for a living with music, instead of you jerk offs who wish they did.

bwaaaahahahahahaha.... that is awesome!
