Tekkeon DC out plug - Where can I find that plug?
« on: March 13, 2010, 09:43:05 AM »
Looking for a part for the 10-19 dc out on the tekkeon batteries, looked high and low without finding anything for sale? Anyone know. I located this and looks like the right thing but you have to write and inquire the company. Can't find it for sale anywhere.

Hi Darktrain,

this connector is made by Kycon:

Mouser has them in their catalog.

Hope that helps.

I put a caliper on the one I have and 10mm across is correct and 6.5 mm plugin distance is right too. Pin placement appears to match.

You can also get the 3' cable from Tekkeon for 7.95

I just by new cables from Tekkeon and cut off the end - you have to short one of the small pin to ground (I believe) to turn on the battery the on.

Tekkeon sells right angle connector cables as well - which has a very low profile to it.

Thanks for the info, i am building a custom tekkeon to v3 with both side RA so we are going to try the solder end parts, i think they will be easier to mod  that way
