Adjusting recording levels
« on: December 26, 2004, 04:44:50 PM »
I've got my JB3 ,my mics and battery module. The battery has bass roll off and level control. The problem is the manual that I downloaded from Soundprofessionals just talks about the bass rolloff.Nothing about controlling the levels.Do I just have to play around with it at home first or does somebody have any experience with this. Thanks for all the help.

crank your stereo with something loud and play around with it.

I found that I generally left the levels on full unless I was close to the speakers.  I have to echo datdork that the best way to figure out where you need the levels.

leave them at max and adjust on the jb3 unless the signal is still too hot even when the jb3 at it's lowest point
