Downloadable Phish Archives?
« on: July 28, 2018, 11:29:33 AM »
Is there a downloadable archive like there is for the GD?  I never really began listening to them until 3.0 so I have some listening and experimenting to do.  I have a gigantic server so getting my goal is to just go in and download it all.  If it is a private site a PM will suffice.  Thanks!

I have all of 1994 which is, imo, their best year.  Maybe I could set up an ftp server like the old days...?

Also I think all of August 93 was recently uploaded to etree and that is all worth snagging because that month is another great period for the band.  They were on fire.

I will work through bt.etree.org but just discovered "the Spreadsheet" too.

This is a good start.

Edit: the spreadsheet is all MP3's.  Ack.

Not having an LMA collection means that there’s no centralized downloadable FLAC archive for Phish. So better get cracking on the active torrents or find someone to trade with.

Well, we can thank Comcast for limiting me to 1TB a month.  I got close to hitting that this weekend trying to get what Mr. Vernon has up at bt.etree.org.  I reset on 8/1 and will keep stabbing away.

What I have a hard time believing is that a lot of these the PHiSH is still in SHN format.

So who has this stuff in tagged FLAC and can fill a HDD?

MVernon's project is to Seed (if possible) the original SHN...  And yes, some do have issues like SBEs, etc...

Maybe I'll see about batch converting some stuff from shn to flac.  Converting stuff that only circulates in shn to flac might be a nice way to contribute...and I also wouldn't mind switching it all over to flac.  I'll give it a test tonight.  If it works, I could give you what I've got (I'll probably start with 94).

I'll add that a lot of that stuff has been fixed and converted to FLAC already.  And I should have most of it...

If you want to do a HDD B&P, I can do that for you.  I only collect PH1.0 though...
