Topic: Mini-Me (w/ or w/o USB)??

Hiyooooo!!

Anyone know what the main pro's and con's are of buying a Mini-Me without a USB port? Does the unit with the USB act like a soundcard between my DAT and my computer if I'm transferring DAT>CD?

The purpose of the usb would be to run simultaneous usb out@24 bit to a laptop (insert device here), and coax out to a dat at 16 bits!  I think the usbless version is cheaper, but just buy the one on ebay with the usb and you will get it for the same price as a new usbless machine.
