Topic: UA-5 w/ MP-2 comparison

I taped Particle last week and threw an MP-2 into the mix to see how it plays w/ a Pmod UA-5.  I like the sound w/ the MP-2 there, it kinds of softens and fattens up the sound just a bit.

im gonna try something sort of the same tonight, im gonna run my v2 infront of the ua-5 with sbd going in the back for my band tonight, see how it sounds during soundcheck.  its no different than running something  248 into a v3 or a minime or v2>minime, maybe a couple more db's in gain, but we'll see how it turns out

Well, the really risky part is using these "Made in Iowa" cables.    Not.  

im gonna try something sort of the same tonight, im gonna run my v2 infront of the ua-5 with sbd going in the back for my band tonight, see how it sounds during soundcheck.  its no different than running something  248 into a v3 or a minime or v2>minime, maybe a couple more db's in gain, but we'll see how it turns out

That ought to be fun to try.  I've run a V2 in front of a UA-5 before--I liked that a lot.  Still haven't used the RCA inputs at the same time as the XLR's, though.  Good luck, let us know how it came out.

first time running something in front of the ua-5 tonight for my band, sbd matrix.  it came out very pleasing, i liked the v2 in front of the ua-5, it helped to clean it up a bit, ran the ua-5 front xlr's at 0 gain and not sure how much gain i had for the sbd going in the back, but it came out pretty good, you should check it out, it will be torrented on etree very shortly
