3d Printing Brass and Plastic Services
« on: May 27, 2015, 05:34:25 PM »
Does anybody know of a place in I can 3d print brass and plastic at a resonable price?

I need to make a handful of parts for some vintage microphones and having the parts machined is looking to be expensive (or to "small" of a job)

When you provide specs what format do the files need to be in and what tools have people been using to draw the parts out (I.e. FreeCAD)?
Music can at the least least explain you and at the most expand you

Not sure of the possible file extension types you can save as on your version of CAD?

Anyway, check these guys out, as we have done work with them.

Not sure as to the component in Brass...plastic is no prob.  There are a variety of composites they print with.  They will also give you a free quote.  Gives you a starting point! They can convert your 2D to 3D for you.

Shapeways.com does plastic.  Srsrecordings has several micmounts there and could be a resource to consult.
