btw guys - keep in mind that if you want to run blumlein, the soundstage needs to fit within the 90 degree spread of the capsules. if you use blumlein too close, and some instrumentation is outside the 90 degree angle, you will start introducing phase problems. otherwise, blumlein is a fantastic way to get the best possible image from smaller groups - i use it on small ensembles and chamber groups. (pair of royer r-121s - set up is critical, easy to get the capsules just out of line enough to cause phase issues, so be careful and test it, or use a calibrated setup that you can reporduce each time exactly in the field.)
