What are some good windscreens that fit Busman BSC1s?

Thanks

DPA UA0896 are pretty popular for 20(ish) mm mics.  I've got a few pairs, have run with akg, studio projects and bsc2. Worked well indoors and out for me.

I'm a fan of both the DPA UA0896 and the Big Ass Shure (A81WS) and can attest that they both comfortably fit up to at least 21mm width microphones.  However, they are most effective in different environments and applications.  The DPA are good for combating drafty venues, blowing HVAC vents and very slight winds outside.  The Shures are great outdoor windscreens that will tame all but hurricane gusts but that comes at a price: the Shures are a bit less transparent than the DPAs and slightly shave off a little high frequency response.  That's fine as I'd rather do a little post EQing rather than have an unlistenable recording due to constant wind noise, but I think they're overkill for indoor recordings.

is there anything written inside the caps. Mine have the capsule type (ex: k31) written inside. Perhaps you have two hypers and two cards and theya re just mixed across the first two photos? Maybe the cap with no marking is a hyper??

I contacted Chris and he told me to check the holes on the back of the caps. They are the correct caps in the wrong housings. Just a little confusing and sounds like he's going to send replacement caps for the cards and hypers.

Also when should hypers/cards be used.  I believe most recordings I've heard on archive.org using Busman BSC1 were using the hypers.

I use hypers/supercards everywhere. Especially at long distances inside or outside, and I just ran my mk41s tonight FOB/DFC 30' from the stage, to cut down on chatter and room ambiance ;) So don't be afraid to use them. They can really save your recording when used right. The only place I wouldn't normally run them would be onstage. But i've done that before and it came out pretty decent. I had to in a tinyass bar though ;)

I'm still learning my set, but I had been taping slightly stage right, about 8' from the stage and 8' up on a stand. Cards worked best for me there, nice mix of stage amps, drums and PA. My last recording was a matrix with a SBD feed and I used the hypers, probably 30' from the stage and it was excellent at distance, still rejecting room chatter but getting the stage sound clear and clean. I'm very happy with the Busmans.

I went with a pair of DPA UA0896.  Might check out the Shure A81WS sometime also.
