JB3 question.
« on: June 25, 2003, 01:53:36 PM »
My JB3 should be here tomorrow.  Curious to those users out there now, is there any firmware I *must* get before heading out to record?  Do they generally come relatively up to date from Creative?

Anything else I should know, feel free to clue me in :D  It'll be fed from a UA-5.

Nope, you should be just about good to go.  I would reccomend updating the firmware though as soon as you get it, as the original releases sucked!

I've done some research over at http://www.nomadness.net and it seems as if the highest you want to go (to be reliable) is firmware version 1.20.06

If you go past that firmware wise I guess people are having trouble with the unit locking up or not booting with anything past that?!  ::)

be careful with upgrading firmware too much... you can't downgrade
