Topic: MY JB3 Froze UP Please Help!

  been looking around these boards all morning and I cant find any situation like what I encountered please read and help if you can.

   I just purchased this thing several weeks ago from a private seller on e-bay. This weekend I gave it a test run.  While recording YMSB Friday night  line-in from a DA-P1  out of the soundboard It completely froze up.  I looked down at it and the levels were locked and the time was completely stopped.  I pressed every button on it and got nothing.  I ran it again on sunday night with no problems.  today (monday)  I was playing back last nights show and paused it for a few minutes when I tried to play again it was completely froze up again....  My solution both times this happened was to remove the battery and re-boot.  Everything works fine after that.

  I'm wondering if I should do a rescue mode  clean-up with it.  Will I lose the music I have on it if I do that?

Give the "Clean Up" a shot...it may perform better after that...no files get lost...

"Format" will delete everything...

And note - you should use format when you want to clear your machine - rather than delete each track...
