I don't know whether this has been discussed here before, but the Primo EM172 omni capsule is almost certainly*  that used in the Sony PCM-M10.  I've heard this rumoured before, but was able to confirm it when dismantling my (sadly drowned) M10. I'd previously bought some EM172s for another project so was able to compare them. They're visually identical, and they sounded similar, too, in the quick test that I did.  I have some A-B photos somewhere...
