Title: Dead & Co Taping Guidlines
Post by: crapgame on June 27, 2016, 07:41:38 AM
Greetings, I'd like to record the Boulder shows and I haven't recorded since the 90's.  The GD used to publish the guidelines for taping (taper's section location, what we are allowed to bring in, stand height, etc..) but if it is posted for this tour I haven't found it.

Could someone point me to where I might find this information.

Thanks,

It's pretty wide open from recent experience.

Have Fun! this lineup is really starting to gel, especially Otiel's tonality and Mayer's vocals.

Thanks!  I assume you get searched pretty thoroughly but hard equipment cases are getting by?

Well, at SPAC, the searching is still hit or miss- the taper in front of me was asked to take it all out of the case and actually put together the battery to the recorder. After all that, he simply asked me to show him the battery; looked in about 2 small parts bags and said go on through. They never asked about tapers tickets or anything like that and there were at least 12 stands on the lawn so lots of equipment was let through. Of course, SPAC has been dealing with this for YEARS and typically treat tapers well. YMMV at Boulder.
