Material make up of the Sony PCM-M10?
« on: April 15, 2023, 11:49:03 AM »
How much metal is there in the Sony PCM-M10?

Some venues have scanners you walk through or wands.

I have in the past got the device through such places but I don't know if that was down to luck or not.

I think its all about sensitivity at the detector you're at. Mine used to set off wands/walk thrus every show and I would wrap earbuds around it and explain it was a radio. After this happened 4 out of every 5 shows, I just put the M10 with earbuds in the tray and told them about the "radio" to avoid them catching it in my pants. The A10 is the far better option with less metal. Very rarely gets detected, altho it has happened to me.
