Hi!
I have CA 9200 preamp and it works well with CA microphones, but when I connect my contact mics to this preamp, there is only noise, no real world sounds can be heard... When I connect my contact mics directly to Roland R-05, real world sounds can be heard, but they are very quiet. I thought CA 9200 preamp would make me get louder recordings from my contact mics...
It appears I don't get something... Is there something I don't know? Does CA 9200 work like battery box? My experiments showed that these contact mics I have don't work with simple 9V battery box too. Why is that?
What can be done?
I read somewhere about different impedances... May it be true?
