I am currently running 3000mah 9.6v RC packs into a Bumblebee VR box that is powering my UA-5 and JB3.  Think my RC packs are starting to hold less and less of a charge.  Missed the second set of WSP this weekend because of them....anyway, I'm thinking the WalMart batteries are gonna be the best step for me.

Anybody wanna build me the cable I'm gonna need between WalMart battery and the VR box?

you could also go to radio shack and get two of the adaptaplug cables, and just solder them together.  switchable tips on each end.

Maybe I need to pull the VR box out and take a look at it, but I thought I remembered the input side being an XLR.

you can probably use the same cable and just change the ends from the RC Tamaiya connectors to the ends that fit into the Li-Ion batteries. maybe contact ed at KindKables if you don't want to do the work yourself, he may even be able to make you an entirely new cable for reasonable amount.

it should be a 4-pin XLR that connects to the box itself
