I already know the selection is still slim but does anyone know of one that supports wireless network?

Are you looking for BD-Live support?

The  Sony BDP-CX7000ES model has ethernet - you could get a cheap Ethernet to WLAN bridge

I recently bought a Sony BDP-CX960 not thinking it would be essential I have it connected to internet but turns out, it kinda works like itunes when you put a CD in your computer and it syncs to the itunes database and downloads info/coverart. The owner's manual for this unit is crap. It mentions once or twice the Gracenote database but never explains what it is (and its omitted from the glossary). With no internet you need to type all that info for each DVD.

Thanks for turning me onto the BD-Live, naturally, there was no mention of it in the owners manual but I'll update the firmware in the unit tonight and get going on the BD-Live.

To support BD-Live the player has to have a network interface (either Ethernet or Wireless) and appropriate firmware.

If the unit does not have this then it won't be able to support BD-Live -> in the intial release of Blu-Ray BD-Live was not included so older players don't support it.

My BDP-CX960 has ethernet, just won't support wireless. I'm looking at getting one of these ethernet over power units (my wireless hub is on third floor and movie room/man cave down on first floor)

That looks like a winner and at half the price of the ether over power. I've never set up a bridge before but at that price I can take a chance. Thanks!!
