M148 Charger
« on: August 09, 2006, 10:16:04 AM »
The cable on my M148 charger came off over the weekend for Panic. I tried to crack open the wall-wart to get try and repair, and the whole thing cracked and fell apart. Anybody know if there is another chager I can use? I called Doug but they are not open today, but I did shoot him an email. Anyone have any ideas???

...same problem here. I need a charger built, but dont have the skills. I called Doug and said they were custom made, it would be several weeks if he could even make one at all due to not having the parts. He did offer some specs to making one but again I can hack stuff but dont really want to risk blowing up my m148. Ive got another msg to him about the specs and will post here if needed. Can anyone help?

Isn't the charger simply a transformer outputting 48 volts ac?

(the charger for my former m118 was a transformer outputting 18 volts ac).

I heard back from Doug today, and I sent him pics of my busted charger. He said to ship it to him and he would rebuild it or make a new one if needed. Don't know what the cost will be yet as we haven't discussed it, but I'm sure it won't be too much!
