Question for those in the know.
I have two portable DAT recorders that didn't work the last time I attempted to use them 5-6 years ago.

1- The Sony D3 message flashes "Caution" when powered up and won't open to insert a tape.
2- The Sony D7 message flashes the message either "IO error" or "10 error", I can't tell exactly which from the note I made on a sticky in 2010.

Are they worth anything at all in that state or should I send them off to electronics recycle la-la land?  :-\
Thanks all.

Tough to say. Technically no, but you might be able to throw them up on eBay and get $50 each or something on an as-is sale for parts.
