Adding volume to .WAV file
« on: January 03, 2006, 04:26:43 PM »

Hi,

I recorded an acoustic jam on New Year's Eve, however it came out a bit quiet.  Is there any good way to add a bit of volume to my .WAV files?

Thanks !

Depending on what software you are using you would want to look for a normalize or gain option.

Normalize will bring it up to 0db, adding gain can be any specified volume increase.  Most likely you would want to add the same ammount to the entire file
MK 4V > KCY 250/5 Ig (KS 10I)  > VST62IUg > 722

Actually right now I don't have any .WAV editor.
I recorded a NYE acoustic jam with some binaural mics -> battery box -> JB3
i forgot to turn the gain on my battery box, but still want to salvage the recording.....
If someone can recommend a good .WAV editor I will try adjusting the gain on the files!

thanks !!!
