Good stuff.  That Benchmark link explaining digital fundamentals should be made a sticky link here somewhere.

Have you pursued any of these types of free online courses?  They represent a brave new world and make my internal optimist smile,  So many are interesting, yet the time investment remains a challenge.

Take the Harvard  edX CS50, you will not regret it.

I have taken a few, and then transferred the knowledge to classes at the local State college, where my boss helps with tuition.
