SoundForge Temp Files
« on: February 08, 2004, 01:37:20 PM »
I have a 40GB drive that is partitioned into 2 drives: C: 10 GB, F:30GB.  Programs are installed on C: and I work with transfers on F:.  Been running into a problem with resampling in SoundForge.  Don't have a lot of extra room left on C: and I have been running out during doing a resample.  Is it possible to change a setting and have SoundForge create its temp files on the F: drive rather than C:?

Here's an unhelpful answer for you Kev-

I think I've got mine set up this way because I've got the same partition issue, but I can't remember how the heck I did it.

Good luck...

In SF 7, this is under Options > Preferences > Perform

You can change the drive/folder for the temp files. Not sure if it's the same for previous versions or not, but should be the same general area.

Hope that helps.

what ford_perfect said...always keep your temp space on a seperate partition(preferably seperate drive) than your OS partition
