Good card reader to transfer files from SDHC to computer?
« on: November 14, 2012, 07:19:16 AM »
Getting tired of the painfully slow transfer speed of my R-44. Any suggestions on a reasonable-priced, reliable card reader that'll expedite transfers?

I've been using this one for SD cards and microSD cards for a year. It's a champ and super portable.

If you have USB 3.0, you'll want to take advantage of it with a USB 3.0 reader.  I've got this one:

You can buy this USB 3.0 reader directly from Kingston (currently on sale for $10.50, free shipping):

http://www.kingston.com/us/flash/readers#fcr-mlg3

Just add to your cart, and select Kingston as the vendor.  They usually have their SDHC cards at very low prices too.

I've been using my Kingston USB 2.0 multireader for a couple years, it's really handy, just leave it loaded with some cards and it's a big-ass thumbdrive.

But I'd probably get the USB 3.0 if I was buying one now.
