I probably should have asked this question a few weeks ago, but I've just bought a pair of Windtech 1300 windscreens for my 4006's. I have the stock DPA screens that came with the mics but they are enormous. The Windtech 1300 are much smaller. I'm assuming therefore they won't be as effective as the DPA screens in windy conditions, but are there any negative effects to sound quality using Windtech, say when just used as protection from moisture or smoke more than anything?
