Reinforcing your 7 pin cable
« on: August 15, 2003, 04:53:30 PM »
As anybody who owns one knows, an active 7 pin cable is so damned expensive and they get a lot of wear and tear in the field. On mine the glue that holds the little plastic stopper between the cable and the plastic seven pin plug came loose, so I reglued it and wrapped the whole cable and plug portion with a bunch of electrical tape to reinforce it, so all the flexxing doesn't mess with the connection ever again. Wish I had thought about it before it came loose, but hopefully all is well now.

One more tip for the day: I went out and bought some velcro at the sewing store and attatched it to my D8 and AD20, so that they'll stick together in my fanny pack and stay put.

Peace!

welcome to the board, its krispytunz from the terrapin board!!!
It is company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo - We have to use the indefinite article; "A" dildo, never: "YOUR" dildo.

And isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, ooh ooh ooh, the sky is the limit!

I was looking through a friends gear the other day & he put shrink wrap at the 2 ends to keep them from bending much.  I thought that was a good idea & looked great.

& welcome!
