Title: FLAC fingerprint impacted by tags?
Post by: checht on September 23, 2018, 11:34:16 PM
I've tested, and it seems to me that tags don't impact FLAC fingerprints.

Wanted to confirm with others. Am I correct?

Cheers

MD5 is a "whole file" checksum and IS changed if the metadata gets changed. You can make an MD5 checksum for any file type.

FFP is only for the FLAC audio part, and IS NOT changed if the metadata gets changed. You can only make FFP checksums for FLAC files.
