It does normally take a lot longer with MB.  I filmed a wedding on the beach in October and the 10 minute ceremony took 4 hours to render.

I was just wondering if there are any tweaks I could look at.

Maybe try network rendering.I thru a magic bullet effect on a clip and it was rendering at about 1 frame a second with 1.99ghz ,intel duo core, 2gb ram.I found magic bullet to be useless as i can get better results with color correction and the render goes very fast.

Thanks.  I'll see if network rendering helps.  Right now it's at 93% with about 3 1/2 hours to finish.  It's 11:25AM here on Wednesday as I type.  I started rendering on Monday at about 1:30PM.  The finished video is 97 minutes.

So I recently got Vegas Pro 8 and I am also trying to get the best out of my HD camera. When I want to render my raw mt2s file what do I want to render it to so that I keep the HD footage but that I can put it to a Dual Layered DVD? I am looking at a 2 hour and 12 minute show that I want to put to DL-DVD. I am really a noob when it comes to editing video footage... so any tips/hints would be fabulous!
