Anyone used it?  New features?

With a multitrack wav, you are supposed to be able to option/drag to import and a dialog box shows that allows you to create tracks (for each channel).

For some reason, this isnt working for me (actually, it worked, but only once and then I couldn’t replicate it)... any idea what I might be missing..?


One other question: is there a way to set plugins for two channels at a time..? Right now I am doing them for each channel in mono. Would love to add plugins to two channels at a time, and then use the stereo out strip to add a global eq, limiter, etc...

I'm a HUGE supporter of Logic Pro. For me, it's the simplest, most fluid, and most powerful DAW out there. I can easily go from blank slate to full production in very little time.

Most of the new features are for composers, not for post guys. Things like the new drummer, a slew of synths, and general workflow updates. What I will give Logic Pro X over 9 and 8, is that it's more efficient, but if you're still on 10.6.8 then Logic 9.1.x is still the best DAW for you. If you're on Mavericks or later, switch to X and you'll see MASSIVE efficiency gains.

There are two ways you can do this. The easiest is to route both of your mono channels to a mono AUX track, then add your processing here. You can even retain mono processing there... The other choice you have, though you'd have to do this one track at a time, is to add a plugin to one channel, set it to where you want, then option+click and drag the plugin to the second channel you want it on. It will effectively "copy/paste" the plugin onto the new channel. But note that changes you make to one plugin, will not translate to the "copy/pasted" plugin, which is why I'd recommend going with the aux routing solution I provided above. If these descriptions are a bit... dizzying for you, let me know and I can break down what you need to do step by step with screenshots.
