ok, so I bought a 4TB drive in order to start ripping my CD collection and have them in one place.... downloaded XLD (for Mac) and setup my preferences..... I want to rip to ALAC so that if I want, I can just load the results into iTunes to load onto my iPod......but in the interim, I want to keep the ripped cd's in a separate music folder.... for those of you that have done this, what format/file structure/whatever you call it did you use??..... I feel like in that music folder I'm ripping to, it should create a folder for each artist, then a sub folder for each album by that artist and then album tracks in that folder..... is that how y'all typically do that?.... if so, how do I set up the preferences to automatically do that?.. or is there some other program that will setup and implement that?.... any help/suggestions appreciated.....
