Not a good idea. (if you are talking about a car battery charger)  The float voltage on a flooded cell charger is higher than SLA's and will cook the battery.

nah, the GP-90 is an older 12v ecocharge, i would be using a powersonic or xenotronix charger, but i know nothing about 12v really, i just wanna know if the 12v ecocharge battery(the GP-90) will be charged alright by either of the 2 battery chargers mentioned above, or a batteryminder charger 8)

i just wnana know if those chargers are safe to use w/ ecocharge, pleasae someone, i just wanna get my feelers out there

if i dont snatch uip this ecocharge gp-90 soon, i will prolly just get one from ed at kindkables

Bean I have a powersonic  PSC-12800A charger....I use it to charge a 12 volt 7 ah SLA.

I just leave it hooked up all the time....I'm guessing it would work fine with the ecocharge.

Bean - looks like there's minimal direct experience with EcoCharge batts and non-EC chargers.  Have you tried calling or emailing the EC folks to ask them directly?

brian, i take it that powersonic has a 4-pin end on it, that would save me loads of trouble

hey brian, or anyone really, if i were to purchase the powersonic or xenotronix chargers, does ANY cable come w/ either???

if the lamp style cord comes w/ it and all i need to do is solder a 4-pin on, sounds like a good deal to me!!

if NO lamp style cord comes w/ the cahrgers, where does one obtain some!!!

i need a 12v charger in a pinch, and i have the eco stuff, which is rebranded xeno, so......this seems to be the best quality wise, and no "resting" voltages....
